立法院副院長洪秀柱18日早接受《飛碟早餐》節目專訪時表示，當天下午將拜會立法院長王金平，尋求支持。不過，對於主持人唐湘龍問到，是否支持王金平續任立法院長？對此，洪則説，重點不是她支不支持，而是以目前狀況來講「不太可能」，她認為，這對黨內制度會有所破壞，若王金平想續留立院，她建議他應出來選區域立委。
建議王金平：回到選區去選
王金平已連任3任不分區立委，據國民黨內規定，無法再被提名不分區，但日前則傳出國民黨可能會修改黨章，讓王續留在立院。對此，洪秀柱説，她當然知道王金平在政壇上打滾數十年，在立法院也有一定的功能，但是就事論事，她認為，以照目前的黨內辦法，應該是「不太可能」，否則會破壞制度，對外界也很難交待。
洪秀柱建議，若王金平想再續留立法院，應該直接回到選區去選。她表示，以王金平的實力車貸利率試算表 excel來說，如果順利的話，下屆院長8成還會是他，但關鍵就在於王要不要下去選，以及民進黨是否願意退讓。
整合黨外勢力 將拜會宋楚瑜
至於即將展開請益之旅的洪秀柱，下午將先拜會王金平，整合黨內勢力。而黨外部分，她也透露，會請求親民黨主席宋楚瑜的支持。洪秀柱説，宋楚瑜近年來對施政上的見解，有些講得很有道理，因此希望聽聽他的意見。
